What happened to Metroid Prime 4? Who knows! I play, with an incredibly troubled production history, was announced back in 2017 and saw its development start from scratch in 2019. At the moment there are no precise indications on the launch date, but according to some fans it may not be exactly very far away.
Nintendo itself has given new impetus to the speculations regarding the launch window of Metroid Prime 4, which in recent days has sent a survey focused on Metroid Prime Remastered. The UK branch, in particular, has been interested in why its players are playing the remaster, and included the answer in one of its questions. “It seemed like a good way to while away the time until Metroid Prime 4 came out”.
The mention of the game by Nintendo was received by fans as a promising sign – perhaps because we are in an atmosphere of absolute and prolonged silence. To begin with, it has been confirmed that Metroid Prime 4 exists and is not the result of a collective hallucination; secondly, fans believe that if the release date had been too far away, Nintendo would never have mentioned it in the survey. For this reason, there are those who predict a surprise launch by the end of this yearor atbeginning of next year. Needless to specify there is no certainty in this regard, however the big N is not new to rapid announcements and surprise launches – Metroid Prime Remastered itself has arrived on the eShop suddenly.
