After the release of the teaser for Harbingers of Fatui, the gaming community began to actively discuss the heroes shown and try to find out as much information about them as possible. They did not bypass Colombina, whose mysterious image attracted attention with its beauty and hidden power. There is little official information about the Third Harbinger, but this does not stop Genshin Impact fans from building theories about her origin and potential connection with the fairies.

Why Columbine looks like a fairy in Genshin Impact
One of the main theories associated with Colombina says that an extraordinary girl can be fairy – a representative of those creatures that Teyvat is full of. And although at first glance at the Harbinger it is difficult to say that anything at all connects her with small blue creatures, however, upon closer examination, many similar details begin to be captured both in appearance and in behavior.
What is known about fairies
Let’s start with what the fairies are like in Genshin Impact. The legends of the world speak of mysterious wandering lights, enchanting with their singing, that were once a beautiful and wise race that instructs mankind. In ancient times, the first king of the gods Phanet created seraphim from four of his own shadows, three of which for many times shone in the firmament as Moons – Aria, Sonnet and Canon.

This passage makes it clear that the mysterious stranger belongs to the genus of those very seraphim and, perhaps, is the only one who was not affected by degradation.
Analysis of Colombina and other heroes about her
Very little is mentioned about Columbine in the lore, which is why you have to be content with small grains of information that the developers give. The girl is known to stand third strongest among all eleven Harbingers of Fatui, and also holds the title “Soubrette”referring together with the name to commedia dell’arte.
Appearing in the teaser first with her voice, and only then externally, she sings a melody over the coffin of Signora, while maintaining a calm and unruffled look. It is easy to notice bird feathers in her hair, and on her face – a light ribbon covering her eyes. These feathers look like six wings and refer to the seraphim angels, which were also called fairies, and similar ones can be easily seen on the “houses” of flying creatures in the process of exploring the world.
The bandage, in turn, can be one of the symbols Themis, which is depicted with closed eyes as a symbol of impartiality. The fairy race played the role of judges in disputes between mortals, by analogy with what the Greek goddess did. In addition, the eyes are also sometimes capable of reveal the true nature, which may cause the Harbinger to wish to keep them closed. Visually, the patterned ribbon on Colombina’s face echoes the ornaments on the pedestals of little helpers.

Being, apparently, also a seraphim and one of those who gave life to all subsequent fairies, the fourth shadow could avoid the fate of descendants and not be degraded.
She lived for many millennia in the guise of a girl, hiding like the Archons, and appeared at the present moment under the name of Colombina. By joining Empress and her organization, whose goal is to change the divine order, the shadow of Phanet might well thus try to take revenge on Celestia for the injustice done to her people.
