Windows 10 has been gone since the end of January – at least as far as the official sale of licenses from Microsoft is concerned. But the support will only run until 2025. That sounds a long way off, but anyone who sets up a new computer now can take care of all the fun again in two years at the latest. If you currently need a license, you should switch to Windows 11 right away.
What Windows 11 offers:
Windows 11 Home offers the user device encryption: If you activate this, only authorized persons can access your device. Firewall and network protection protects you from viruses, malware and ransomware. App and browser control protects your device from potentially dangerous apps, files, websites and downloads.
Parental controls are also provided: you can manage your child’s screen time and control online purchases by connecting your family’s Microsoft accounts. Secure boot prevents malicious software applications and unauthorized operating systems from loading during the system boot process. Windows Hello uses face recognition, fingerprint or PIN to unlock compatible Windows devices.
