Amazon Studios has announced the addition of the cast of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power. Rory Kinnear, Tanya Moody and Ciarán Hinds will star in the show’s second season.
Rory Kinnear: BAFTA nominee, played Assistant M in recent James Bond films. Ciarán Hinds: Oscar nominee, voiced the troll king in Frozen, played Aberforth Dumbledore in the Harry Potter films. Tanya Moody: played Dr. Watson’s psychotherapist in Sherlock.
Amazon has not revealed which characters these actors will play. It is known that Kinnear, Moody and Hinds will have recurring roles, meaning their characters will appear in several episodes of the series.
The second season of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power is currently filming in the UK and Europe. The season will premiere no earlier than 2024.
