Respawn Entertainment, whose name has been on everyone’s lips since the release of the Apex Legends battle royale, continues to reap the rewards of its success, and today announced the opening of its third game development studio. Representatives of Respawn shared the relevant information in an interview with GamesIndustry.
It is specified that the newly formed team will pore over Apex Legends; Respawn kind of delegated the right to further support the royal battle to this new studio, and expressed the hope that the project will continue to develop for at least 10-15 years.
It’s hard to say how realistic this Respawn forecast is, but in 2004, for example, it was impossible to imagine that World of Warcraft would “stretch” nineteen years without a hint of retiring.
