Many gamers are having trouble playing the Halo Infinite are Steam. The cause is unfortunately well known: after the launch of thelast update, the minimum system requirements needed to launch the game have increased. It is now mandatory to have a video card with at least 4GB of VRAM, otherwise the game refuses to start. In reality, 4GB was already a requirement, but not a blocking one for the game, in the sense that it could still be started and played, making obvious compromises.
The goal of raising the requirements is quite clear, since it is evidently not cost-effective to continue optimizing for obsolete GPUs. That said, the update has cut people who bought and regularly played Halo Infinite out of the game. Considering the playing population already quite scarce on Steam, with concurrent player peaks ranging between 2000 and 7000, the backlash could be felt. at least in the short term.
For the rest, we remind you that Halo Infinite is available for PC and Xbox Series X / S and Xbox One. The multiplayer mode is free-to-play, therefore freely accessible, while the single-player campaign must be purchased separately.
