the swedish giant IKEA has just announced the launch of a new Bluetooth speaker for its range VAPPEBY. The highlight goes to the compact format, the low price, as well as its capabilities to provide us with entertainment even while bathing.
That is, with the new loudspeaker IKEA VAPPEVILLE we can count on the certification IP67in addition to a battery life of up to 80 hours music playback. That way, we can either take it to the beach or to the pool or even to the shower.

The IKEA VAPPEBY Bluetooth speaker has a compact form factor and is available in three color schemes, from yellow, red/pink to the more discreet black. Global sales start in April and promises to combine simplicity with real-world utility.

It’s a small, easy-to-carry product that costs just $15 internationally. Although the price for Portugal has not yet been announced, everything indicates that it will remain in this order of values, close to 15 euros.

The Swedish multinational founded by Feodor Ingvar Kamprad has here a new robust and water-resistant product, with IP67 certification and three different color schemes. It also comes with a small string to help and facilitate its transport and / or fixation.
According to Stjepan Begic, the designer and head of the product within IKEA, its objective is the following: “The fundamental objective of the new speaker was to offer quality sound in a versatile product that can really be used anywhere”.
To this end, the speaker has a rubber and silicone coating that not only waterproofs the product but also protects it against falls and shocks. It also gives it a smooth texture to the touch and greater durability.

Possibly the best attribute of the new IKEA speaker is its autonomy. It should be noted that, despite the rather compact format, this speaker promises to deliver up to 80 hours of playback of music with the volume at 50% capacity.
These are very nice values for such a small and compact loudspeaker, with the benefit of being certified IP67 which makes it even more durable and robust.
Once it’s time to charge it, we have a Type-C USB port to do so. That is, it is a product already adapted to current market trends that, in IKEA stores, comes without a charger in the box.
