The developers of Genshin Impact are preparing to rerun Eola in update 3.8, according to Chinese insider Uncle Lu. Eola’s rerun has been rumored for a few patches now, but it keeps shifting.
For a while Eola was speculated to be in the 3.5 patch banner, then there was talk of patch 3.7. It is noteworthy that update 3.6 was never mentioned in the context of a character rerun.
Fan interest in Eola is due to the fact that the 5-star cryo character last hit the banner over a year ago. Eola was available during the banner in November-December 2021, since then she has not been included in the banners.
The developers of Genshin Impact have never explained why Eola so rarely appears in the banners.
Update 3.8 will be released on July 5, 2023. Judging by the previous updates, this patch will be the final update of the 3.* line.
