The range of foldable smartphones Galaxy Z Flip every year brings us a new iteration of the most eye-catching clamshell phones on the market. However, this year with the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 the South Korean manufacturer has to make up for lost time if it wants to regain momentum in the face of, for example, the OPPO Find N2 Flip.
Apparently the next generation of foldable smartphones will be presented next August. Until then, however, we already have some leaks and, above all, several rumors. Among these, we now present these rather dreamy renders, but which may have a basis in truth.
Is this the official look of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5?
The foldable smartphone would have a large exterior screen. Well, actually there would be two screens, a small one for notifications and quick visual alerts, as well as a large external screen, possibly even larger than the screen present on the rival OPPO Find N2 Flip.
Note, however, that the images presented here are purely conceptual. They are a possibility like so many others on the market, even if they are based on rumors close to the production chain, according to the source of the material.
By the way, the publication SamMobile was the first to publish these images that will have been created according to the information obtained by a Twitter user, nicknamed just SuperRoader.
Exterior screen divided into two portions on the next Samsung foldable
The possible Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 could thus have a larger screen than the 3.3-inch one currently present on the OPPO Find N2 Flip, if that materializes. More specifically, we’re looking at a 3.4-inch screen on this phone’s exterior.
We will also have a dual camera, as well as a miniature screen, possibly just for the most urgent notifications and visual alerts. It will be a way to monetize the entire screen area, even if its applications are not known.
Avoid having to open the smartphone so many times
The purpose invoked by the creator of these renders is to reduce the need to open the phone. Thanks to the large external screen, it is certain that we could use it as if it were a compact smartphone, fulfilling this purpose.
In addition, we see that the phone has straight and well-defined edges here. Incidentally, note the metallic structure of the possible Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 with a very similar appearance to the current Apple iPhone and its metallic structure.
More compact clamshell format with large outer screen
Among the main improvements we would thus have the reduction or elimination of the crease present on the inner screen, something that we would not use so often thanks to the two outer screens. In addition, we will have reinforced cameras and a new processor for this phone.
Finally, at the moment we still don’t have an official presentation date for the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5, although a launch is expected in August 2023.
