Synopsis
Small Circumference is a conference about the circus! Dedicated to a small audience, the performance fluctuates between the historical rigor of European Circus History and the dreamlike dimension of a historian who aspires to be a Circus artist. Inspired by the different bibliographic records, we encourage the desire to fictionalize a story, based on the facts of your own history! The course is not linear, and the idea is to stir things up, make them think, form a critical mass. Antipodean by nature, poetic, rebellious and dreamy, the circus imagery is part of the collective memory of the general public. CircOonference is an act of freedom in the reconstruction of Circus History, written and performed with elements of humour, risk and poetry, and transversal to all generations!
