On Monday, OpenAI had to disable ChatGPT for 10 hours – now the service is already working, but the chat history is not yet available to users.
Recently, some ChatGPT users have found themselves seeing the titles of other people’s chat history. People posted screenshots on social networks Reddit and Twitter, which show the sidebars of the chatbot interface with stories from third-party users.
And although the images show only headlines, not full conversations, the incident makes you think about what you should write to the chatbot.

An OpenAI spokesperson told Bloomberg that the company has temporarily disabled ChatGPT. It is likely that a bug in open source software that has not yet been named caused the problem.
The chatbot was resumed after 10 hours, but the chat history was still not available at the time of writing. OpenAI posted a sidebar post saying it is “working to restore this feature as soon as possible”.
