Ubisoft and BLAST announced the details for the first BLAST Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege Major of the Year. This will take place from April 24th to May 7th in Copenhagen, Denmark.
With a new, revamped format, the event will welcome a live audience during the finals weekend of the competition, May 5-7, at Forum Copenhagen in the heart of the Danish capital.
The first phase of the 2023 season has already started. In all nine game regions, teams have started qualifying for the BLAST R6 Major in Copenhagen. The top 24 teams will travel to Denmark where they will compete for the title, their share of the US$750,000 prize purse and points towards qualifying for the Six Invitational 2024 in Brazil will fight. Denmark has a strong connection to Rainbow Six Siege esports and a passionate community. In the likes of two-time world champion Niclas ‘Pengu’ Mouritzen and recent winner of the Six Invitational and MVP of the competition, Benjamin ‘Benjamaster’ Dereli, Denmark has already produced legends of the scene.
