After having sent fans of sci-fi adventures into jujube broth with the Story Trailer of Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Electronic Arts informs us that it is about to remove several video games from its (not too) recent past from all digital stores.
From the columns of EA’s official support, the US publisher and developer explains that starting from April 28, 2023 it will no longer be possible to buy digital versions of video games such as Battlefield 1943, Battlefield Bad Company, Bad Company 2 e Mirror’s Edge.
The delisting from the digital showcases on PC and console will be followed by the closure of all multiplayer activities, with the shutdown of servers of the video games in question which will take placeDecember 8, 2023. After this date, all those who have purchased a copy of Bad Company 1 and 2 or Mirror’s Edge will still be able to access offline features, such as the main campaign.
In announcing the farewell to Bad Company, BF1943 and Mirror’s Edge, EA explains that “these titles will continue to occupy a special place in our hearts, but we can’t wait to create new memories with you as we shift our attention about current and future Battlefield experiences“.
