As part of the GTC 2023 conference, the RTX 4000 SFF professional graphics card based on the Nvidia AD104 GPU was announced. The new 3D accelerator is notable for its low-profile design and is one of the most energy-efficient Ada Lovelace devices.
Externally, the RTX 4000 SFF resembles the RTX A2000 graphics card based on the Ampere architecture. It also occupies two expansion slots, lacks an additional power connector and is cooled by a small “turbine”. However, in terms of computing power, the new device exceeds the old model by more than twice.
The RTX 4000 SFF uses an Nvidia AD104 die in a configuration with 6144 CUDA cores, 192 tensor cores, 48 RT cores, and a 160-bit memory bus. The video buffer is represented by 20 gigabytes of GDDR6 and has a bandwidth of 320 GB / s. Rough processing power in single precision operations is declared at the level of 19.2 Tflops.
The power consumption of the video card does not exceed 70 watts. Four Mini DisplayPort 1.4a ports are provided for image output. The official sales of the RTX 4000 SFF graphics card will start next month, the recommended price is $1250.
In addition, Nvidia introduced a line of Ada Lovelace graphics accelerators for mobile workstations. In terms of technical characteristics, they are close to the GeForce RTX 4000 Laptop gaming video adapters. Unless, an analogue of the RTX 3500 Laptop with 5120 CUDA cores is not available to gamers, and the GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop (2560 CUDA cores) has not received a professional version. Specifications of new products are given below.
