The 8-bit side-scrolling platformer Bat Boy will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch and PC on Steam on May 25, publisher and developer X PLUS Company and developer Sonzai Games have announced.
Bat Boy is an 8-bit action-adventure platformer based on intuitive playthrough, kinetic combat, and a nostalgic cross-platform experience.
Players will play as Batboy, the leader of a team of young sports-themed sentai heroes on a rescue mission to save their brainwashed allies who have fallen under the spell of the evil dark magician Lord Vicious. Accompanied by the garrulous raven Garou, Batboy must challenge Stratos’ hostile dimension, facing all sorts of dangerous elements and Lord Vicious’s array of thugs, from acrobatic to aquatic, across the many regions that make up the patchwork of intricate Stratos. world.
