In an interview, the developers at Frictional Games gave more details about their horror title “Amnesia: The Bunker”. Among other things, creative lead Frederik Olsson went into the scope of the title and named its playing time.
After the publication of the new story trailer Frictional Games’ creative lead Frederik Olsson asked himself various questions about “Amnesia: The Bunker” in an interview with Gamingbolt this week.
Among other things, the scope of the horror adventure was discussed in the course of the interview. As Olsson explained in this regard, “Amnesia: The Bunker” will be based on its predecessors. According to Olsson, it is quite difficult to give an exact playing time, since the randomly generated game world and the actions of the players will have a noticeable impact on the playing time.
All in all, according to Olsson, we can expect to see the end credits of Amnesia: The Bunker in four to six hours. If we manage to survive to the end, of course.
Fight for survival is the focus
Olsson: “For the average player, we estimate the playing time of a single round to be around four to six hours. However, it can vary quite a bit. The game’s focus isn’t necessarily on its length, but on the challenge of surviving. While some players complete the game in as little as four hours, others are taking their time to explore, ponder their next move, experiment, and strategize.”
The creative mind behind the horror adventure stated: “Ultimately, gameplay time is largely determined by the skill and courage of the player, as well as their preferred playstyle and decision-making. Additionally, the dynamic and randomized nature of the game makes each playthrough unique and different, allowing players to easily squeeze more hours out of the game through replays.”
