Hogwarts Legacy Professor Chesnoke Quest 2 Walkthrough
Grow and harvest seaweed
The first task requires visiting Hogsmeade. To harvest algae, you need big potin which to grow their stems:
Go to Hogsmeade, to the Magic Turnip shop. 350 galleons required to purchase a bag of seaweed seeds. Visit the shop “Tomes and Scrolls”, also in Hogsmeade, and purchase a blueprint table with big pot. Move to the Help-room, set the purchased table with a Witchcraft spell. Interact with him and select seaweed seeds from the planting menu.
Now you have to wait 15 minutesuntil the kelp stalk is ripe, then pluck it. Just buying stems from merchants will not work: to solve the problem, you need independently go through all the stages of cultivation.
Obtain all three war plants and put them to the test at the same time
The following plants are optional to grow. You need to get them in any of the following ways and use them correctly in a skirmish with the enemy.
Where can I buy
First of all, visit Timophylls and Toadstools, which is in the north of Hogsmeade. In this shop you can get hold of all 3 types of war plants:
Mandragora costs 500 gold. Poison Tentacula – 600 gold. Chinese chewing cabbage will cost 300 galleons
If you need more plants, visit the following vendors in the open world. The price tag for all 3 types is identical for each.
Clifford Cromwell, who lives in Maroonwim, a village located in the Lake Maroonwim region. Arn from Hogwarts Valley. His shop is unlocked after completing the Stolen Cart side quest (starts in Lower Hogsfield). Rohan Prakash, wandering, i.e. stands in several places simultaneously (check out the map). Leopold Babcock, wandering. Priya Treadwell, wandering.
Where to get
There are locations where you can pick a limited number of mandrakes and poisonous tentacles. Find out about them in a separate guide.
How to grow
All 3 plants are grown in Help-room. Basic information for each.
Buy tentacula, mandrake, and bok choy seeds at Timophylls and Toadstools. Mandragora and cabbage grow in pots of any size, tentacula – only in big. Visit “Tomes and Scrolls” in Hogsmeade if you do not have a drawing of a suitable table in your inventory. In the Help-room, set up a table for each plant and plant seeds in a pot. The waiting time for mandrake and cabbage is 10 minutesfor tentacles – 15 minutes.
How to use
Travel to any enemy outpost and engage in combat. You need to use three battle plants at the same time on the battlefield. Attention: the task will not be counted if at least one plant is not on the battlefield at the same time as the rest, therefore it is better to call in the following order:
Release Poison Tentacula and Chinese Chewing Cabbage first. Then call the mandrake.
To summon a plant:
Hold down the key Tab, which will open a circular menu of utility items such as potions, plants, mounts, and a broom. Select the desired plant from the menu and release the button. The item will move to the active slot. In combat, make a quick press Taband then apply flora.
If the test is completed, return to Hogwarts.
Return to Professor Chesnoke
Teleport to the school’s herbology greenhouses and report back to Professor Chesnoke, then learn Flippendo’s power-boosting spell to complete the quest.
