Players will have to choose one of six rubber ducks and fight for the title of the best fighter. Hot battles will unfold on an updated map with transparent water and animated elements.
All fighting ducks have a new type of weapon – seething mines. Their setting is similar to dropping depth charges, only the mines are not submerged under water. They explode some time after setting or upon contact with an enemy duck, causing flooding with a certain chance.
In addition to mines, ducks use familiar weapons, stylized specifically for the event. Depending on the class, armament may include high-explosive or armor-piercing droplets and fizzy torpedoes. High explosive droplets do not cause fires, but have a chance to cause flooding.
Since the ducks are rubber, they do not take damage from ramming, and when they collide with each other or with objects on the map, they are repelled, gaining acceleration.
In addition, with update 12.2, users of the World of Ships will have early access to Pan-American cruisers, changes to the combat economy, a new season of Ranked Battles, a new ship in the Armory, blitzes, balance changes, content additions and changes, and much more.
