A few months after the launch of the awaited JRPG, Clive and Torgal are ready to fight in Final Fantasy XVI, but the clashes will not be the only activity proposed by the Square Enix title.
To offer a small taste of what will be the alternative activities included in the adventure, the publisher has published on its social channels a very short excerpt of gameplay. Lasting a few seconds, the clip – found at the bottom of this news – leads the public to discover a forest part of the world of Enlightenment.
In the wooded area, the protagonist Clive Rosefield follows his trusty four-legged companion, who seems to have sensed an interesting secret in the trees. In order not to lose track of Torgalat some point our alter-ego must cross a narrow gap in the rock. An action that leads to the activation of a short in-game sequence, in the wake of what is proposed by many contemporary AAAs, including God of War: Ragnarok. In sighting the passage, however, many players have expressed annoyed comments, accusing the developers of having inserted the solution only to be able to take advantage of hidden loading screens.
It therefore originated from the simple Tweet a chaotic and hateful diatribe, which however – at least in this phase – appears if nothing else premature. In recent months, Square Enix has repeatedly reiterated that Final Fantasy XVI will not include any type of loader, an outcome that the team attributed to the decision to make the game exclusive to PlayStation 5. To judge the final yield of the product, it therefore appears appropriate to wait for its publication, scheduled for June 22, 2022.
