Cristiano Ronaldo, the star of the Portuguese national team, answered the question at a press conference if he thought about ending his career in the national team.
“I won’t lie. In life, all decisions must be weighed. My family and I thought about it, but then we came to the conclusion that, despite the difficulties, we must not give up. I was able to look at the situation from different points of view. I have learned a lot and I am glad to be back.
The coach made it clear that he was counting on me. I’ve always wanted to play. As you know, he talked to everyone, including me, and I realized that I have something to give to the national team.
I feel it, I want it and my desire is to take Portugal to the highest level. I will always contribute when the team needs it,” said Ronaldo.
Recall that Cristiano was called up to the Portugal national team for the qualifying matches for EURO 2024. The national team will play Liechtenstein and Luxembourg on March 23rd and 26th.
