Valve just managed to officially announce Counter-Strike 2 and give the first gamers access to closed testing, when the CS 2 version appeared on torrent trackers. This information is confirmed by various insiders, as well as the players themselves who dared to download the merged client.
The game is launched using a pirated Steam emulator. On the merged version, access to multiplayer is closed, so you won’t be able to play online or on official servers. Despite this, you can explore the new Source 2 engine alone or play against computer bots.
The conditions for getting into the beta test are not difficult, so the CS 2 client was probably leaked by one of the players who got access to testing. Numerous screenshots have already begun to circulate around the network, showing new textures, improved graphics and redesigned maps.
We remind you that an update for CS:GO in the form of Counter-Strike 2 will be released this summer. If you have already tested CS 2, then share your impressions in comments.
