Film director Chad Stahelski raves about “Ghost of Tsushima” in the latest interview. He shared: The color palette of the game should not only be matched in his film adaptation, but surpassed.
At the launch of John Wick: Chapter 4, Discussingfilm released a comprehensive interview with Chad Stahelski. In it, the director also spoke about the upcoming Ghost of Tsushima movie.
At the very end, the interviewer wanted to know how the video game adaptation was doing. According to Stahelski “a good question”.
“I love Ghost of Tsushima, it’s one of my favorite things to do,” the 54-year-old first said. “Ghost of Tsushima is a really interesting story once you get into Jin Sakai’s story and know what the movie is really about.”
Stahelski loves colors and compositions
Stahelski was particularly taken with the “amazing pictures”: “You already know from the John Wick films that I love colors and compositions. I find it fascinating trying to not just match what the game has achieved with its visuals, but to surpass it.”
This is exactly what the team is working on at the moment. Those responsible are wondering how they could expand the color palette. And how they create feudal Japan in the most realistic but also grounded way possible.
