At the end of last year, The Coalition and Netflix teams announced a collaboration within the Gears of War franchise. It has been announced that Netflix will pursue two franchise projects – a feature-length film and an adult animated series. No details of the project were given at the announcement, at the moment these projects have no estimated release dates.
Today, the Netflix team announced who will be writing the Gears of War feature film:
Jon Spaihts (co-creator of Dune 1 & 2 and Doctor Strange) is adapting the iconic video game Gears of War into a feature film for Netflix!
Details of the Gears of War film script have not yet been disclosed, and it is not known which characters the story of the film will tell about.
