Based on historical facts but built into a fictitious story about a samurai named Jin Sakai who tries to save his island from the Mongol invasion, the epic story offered by Ghost of Tsushima has indeed ended up being loved by many gamers. Moreover, the developer – Sucker Punch also “re-mixed” Tsushima Island with beautiful and dramatic scenery full of color. As a game that will be adapted by Sony, the chosen director who also recently handled John Wick: Chapter 4 – Chad Stahelski has the ambition to bring the same thing to the big screen.
Talking to the DiscussingFilm website, Stahelski said that beautiful visuals are the identity of Ghost of Tsushima apart from the story of the main character – Jin Sakai himself. Therefore, they are currently working on and also researching how to push the same color palette to the big screen, but still feel realistic at the same time. He took as an example how he offered lots of purple and pink colors in John Wick: Chapter 4. With the technology currently available, he wanted to make sure he could offer proper cinematography for this Ghost of Tsushima adaptation.
Director John Wick wanted the film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima to be full of color palettes.
Sony itself has not shared how far the production process for the film adaptation of Ghost of Tsushima has progressed or which actors/actresses will be involved in it. How about you? Optimistic about this project?
