Apparently, we are talking about a new game, not an add-on.
Tyr, one of the key characters in God of War Ragnarok, may return in a new part of the series or additional content for Ragnarok. This was hinted at during a panel at PAX East by actor Ben Prendergast, who played Tür.

The actor noted that he had entered into a non-disclosure agreement with Sony and could not discuss the details. It can be assumed that we are still talking about a new part of the series, and not about an addition to God of War Ragnarok.
The fact is that at the end of 2022, the developers did not advise waiting for an addition to Ragnarok. Development manager Eric Williams left a small chance of a story DLC, but noted that the likelihood was very small.
