Nintendo plans to release The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom in May, but real gameplay has not yet been seen from the sequel to Breath of the Wild. That is about to change this week!
Considering that The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is supposed to be the most important Switch game of the year, Nintendo has surprisingly said little about the successor to Breath of the Wild. Trailer and information are rather sparse – and real gameplay has not yet been seen. But that will finally change in view of the approaching release!
Thank God you almost have to say that, after all, the release is (hopefully) only about six weeks away and is scheduled to take place on May 12, 2023. This week you will be able to see for yourself what the whole thing will look like on the switch.
Today, Nintendo announced a 10-minute gameplay presentation of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom – and it’s not long in coming. As early as tomorrow, Tuesday, March 28, 2023, it should be ready.
Join The Legend of #Zelda series producer, Eiji Aonuma, for roughly 10 minutes of gameplay from The Legend of Zelda: #TearsOfTheKingdom on 3/28 at 7:00 a.m. PT on our YouTube channel.

Eiji Aonuma, Series Producer of the Zelda series, invites you to a special Direct conference that will focus entirely on game scenes from the new title for the specified timeframe. If you want to be there for the first broadcast via Nintendo’s YouTube channel, you can tune in at 4:00 p.m.
In a way, Nintendo is also continuing a tradition, because in the past gameplay showcases that focused on the respective titles had already been broadcast a few weeks before important upcoming releases. Examples would be Splatoon 3 or Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
