By analyzing the cut contents of the Sci-Fi work, Cyberpunk 2077 fans have discovered the Metro canceled by the CD Projekt RED development team. Many hope that, perhaps in conjunction with the launch of the Phantom Liberty DLC, the feature could finally be introduced, but the studio has reserved a cold shower for its fans.
Based on some rumors that had spread following an interview in which a Cyberpunk 2077 developer participated a few months ago, several players were convinced that CD Projekt wanted to satisfy those who would have appreciated the presence of a subway with which to move across the vast Night City. TO definitely shut down the rumorsHere are the recent global community director statements Marcin Momot who spoke on Twitter to clarify the situation, present and future, of the Cyberpunk 2077 Metro:
“A word of clarification on this as a lot of people have tagged me since yesterday. Nothing has changed regarding Metro in Cyberpunk 2077: we don’t plan to add it in the future“. Fortunately, there is a mod that has introduced a subway in Cyberpunk 2077 that consists of 19 stations and a monorail that runs through the various areas of Night City.
What will arrive with certainty in Cyberpunk 2077 is instead Path Tracing, cutting-edge technology that will further revolutionize the lighting system and the general aesthetics of the game.
