On Wednesday, March 29, the final series (up to three wins) of the Ukrainian Women’s Volleyball Superleague Championship starts in Chernivtsi. The teams “Prometheus” (Dnipropetrovsk region) and “Dobrodiy-Medical University-SHVSM” (Vinnitsa) will start fighting for gold medals.
Recall that at the group stage Vinnitsa volleyball players took first place. Then, having missed the matches of the 1/4 finals, in the semi-finals they confidently beat the youth team of Ukraine U-17 3:1 and 3:0 and reached the final.
“Prometheus” at the first stage of the national championship played as a youth team, taking third place. In the quarter-finals, the main team under the leadership of Ivan Petkov beat the Ternopil “Galychanka-ZUNA” 3:0 and 3:0, and in the semi-finals it turned out to be stronger than the Dnipro “Alanta” 3:0 and 3:1.
And further. At the group stage, Dobrodiy-Medical University-SHVSM won twice against Prometheus 3:2, 3:2, but lost in the final round to the already strongest line-up of rivals 0:3.
And on Thursday, March 30, a series of matches for 3rd place will begin. Alanta (Dnepr) and the Ukrainian U-17 national team will play in it. Games will also be held in Chernivtsi and also up to three victories of one of the teams.
