As Ubisoft admitted in a recent statement, the company will not be present at E3 2023 after all. Instead, the “Assassin’s Creed” makers will rely on a new episode of the in-house “Ubisoft Forward” format in June.
A few weeks ago it was confirmed that E3 is set to make a big comeback this year, returning to the public. However, it quickly became apparent that the organizers would have to do without most of the heavyweights in the industry – including Sony Interactive Entertainment, Microsoft and Nintendo.
Only Ubisoft confirmed First of all, its participation in the E3 2023 in June and promised to be present with a “solid line-up” at what was once the most important trade fair for video games. In this case, however, the focus is on the word “initially”. In a recent announcement, the creators of “Assassin’s Creed” and “Far Cry” admitted that they would now be doing without E3 2023.
Rather than making the planned announcements and presentations at E3 2023, Ubisoft will be making a comeback of its proprietary “Ubisoft Forward” format.

“E3 has fostered memorable moments in the industry over the years. Although we originally intended to be at E3 officially, we finally decided to go in a different direction and hold a live event called ‘Ubisoft Forward’ in Los Angeles on June 12th. We look forward to sharing more details with our players shortly,” said Ubisoft.
The company did not provide any information on the titles to be presented in the new “Ubisoft Forward” episode. Possible candidates include those in the past repeatedly postponed Pirate adventure “Skull & Bones”, the first-person adventure “Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora” or the last with a internal displacement related projects Assassin’s Creed: Mirage and The Crew: Motorshow.
Another title players are eagerly awaiting is the remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time. At the end of last year, Ubisoft only made it clear that the new edition would continue is in progress.
More news on the topic:
Since Ubisoft has used E3 and the “Ubisoft Forward” editions to unveil new titles in the past, new announcements are also expected. How about, for example, with the repeatedly indicated successor or spin-off to Immortals: Fenyx Rising?
These have not yet been officially confirmed.
