Head coach of the national women’s team of Ukraine Luis Cortez published a list of players of the women’s national team of Ukraine, called for a training camp to prepare and participate in a friendly match with the Estonian national team.
After a six-month pause, the Ukrainian team returns to training mode. The planned match will be held with the support of the Estonian Football Association during the April training camp (April 3-12) of the national women’s team of Ukraine and will be the first official match in preparation for the official matches of the first UEFA Nations League in 2024.
The confrontation between the national teams of Estonia and Ukraine will be the third in the history of these teams. The planned match will take place on April 11, 2023 in Tallinn at the local stadium Sportland Arena. The game will start at 19:00.
The collection of the team, which will include 22 players, will begin on April 3 in the Polish town of Suwalki. On April 9 the delegation will leave for Tallinn. For the first time, two young football players, Daria Kelyushik and Polina Yanchuk, will be called up to the national team.
The draw for the first-ever Women’s League of Nations will take place on 2 May. The league composition and seeding prior to the draw will determine the current ranking of the UEFA Women’s National Teams. Ukraine is in the roster in 22nd place, which means getting into League B.
In 2023, there are six playing windows for the participants of the League of Nations: September 20-22 and 23-26, October 25-27 and 28-31, November 29 – December 1 and December 2-5.
