The invitation card to the Huawei event in Europe
Among the products that will arrive are two high-end smartphones, two smartwatches, a laptop and wireless headphones.
The P60 Pro and the Mate X3: ambitious smartphones
Huawei unveiled the Huawei P60, P60 Pro and P60 Pro Art a few days ago. Smartphones that have the particularity of having a variable aperture lens, highlighted by a design with an imposing photo block. Be careful however, Huawei has only indicated the European release of the P60 Pro, it seems that the other models are not affected. Nevertheless, we can doubt the success of this model with us: Google services will still not be part of the game, which will make the successor to the P50 Pro much less usable than the competitors.

The Chinese manufacturer also wants to advance in the race for folding smartphones with its official Mate X3 at the same time. No 5G or Google services there either, but where Huawei has been strong is having a foldable and waterproof model. In addition, we also find satellite communication, making it the first foldable smartphone to acquire this function. Sold at the equivalent of 1750 euros HT in China, if it comes out in France, we can expect a price of around 2000 euros.
Huawei Watch Ultimate: a high-end connected watch
This may be an opponent to the Apple Watch Ultra: the Watch Ultimate. Also formalized a few days ago, this connected watch will also be released in France. Its price positioning is justified above all by functions dedicated to diving: depth calculation, dive time, reminders of decompression stops, etc. It can be pushed in theory up to 100 meters deep. A model dedicated to sport which also includes position tracking by GNSS constellations, heart rate monitoring, blood oxygenation, etc.

This watch will arrive on the market this April 3, in a few days. Huawei takes the opportunity to announce the release “later in the year” of another model, which will have the particularity of being equipped with an eSIM card, without giving further details. The advantage of integrating an eSIM into a connected watch is to make it “autonomous” and to be able to do without your smartphone. We can imagine listening to his music in streaming or receiving his messages. Unfortunately, Huawei’s models run on HarmonyOS, which offers very few apps.
The MateBook X Pro will update and the Freebuds 5 are coming
The brand has also declared the imminent arrival of a new MateBook X Pro, after a convincing 2022 version. For a new laptop, we can hope for better autonomy at 90 Hz, but also a webcam that goes to Full HD.

Latest expected product, the FreeBuds 5. Wireless headphones much less classic than the FreeBuds 5i by their very original shape: stems all in roundness. No silicone tips, which means no passive isolation, but we are entitled to adaptive hybrid noise reduction. No date given for these headphones, but it looks like they will be available before Huawei’s conference on May 9.
