After the general user experience of “Saints Row” has been improved over the past few months, the developers at Volition today presented the post-launch support for the next few months. Various DLCs and free content are planned.
After the technically and playfully disappointing launch of the reboot, the Volition developers initially focused on improving the general gaming experience of “Saints Row”. In November of last year, for example, a comprehensive update was released with more than 200 improvements published.
Today, the studio finally addressed planned post-launch support, noting that Saints Row players can look forward to a slew of new content in the coming months. While some of the content is being made available for free, others are part of the Saints Row Expansion Pass.
Kicking off next month with a download pack celebrating the upcoming release of action horror title Dead Island 2. Featuring several Dead Island 2 themed cosmetic items that are free to download for all Saints Row owners.
Story missions, events and more
Another free update will be released in May, bringing improvements to the battle system, a photo mode, and a new district. Also coming in May is The Heist and The Hazardous Pack, which is part of the Expansion Pass and consists of new events, story missions, cosmetic extras, and other unspecified content.
It continues in July this year with new features and improvements as well as the Doc Ketchum’s Murder Circus DLC arrives. The DLC introduces a new mode set in “an (even more) twisted version of one of our favorite areas of Santo Ileso”. More features, an additional district and improvements will follow in August according to the official roadmap.
The third expansion of the Expansion Pass will be released in the same month, introducing unspecified story missions, enemies, cosmetic items and other content. The developers would like to give more specific details about the individual updates and DLCs of post-launch support in due course.
