Commander of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky spoke about the situation in the Bakhmut direction.
“The Russians are trying to concentrate their main efforts on the Bakhmut direction. They do not abandon attempts to surround and capture the city. The key to the success of each commander is his constant work in subordinate units. This allows them to be effectively used on the battlefield and timely carry out the assigned combat missions.
During my stay in the troops, together with the commanders, we coordinate plans that will have a real result not on the map, but on the battlefield. When the enemy outnumbers, being side by side with my warriors is a matter of honor for me. Thanks to the heroism and professionalism of our military, skillful and coordinated actions, the effective use of maneuver and the capabilities of weapons, we hold the Bakhmut fortress despite various deadlines and forecasts.
Knowledge of the enemy and of oneself opens the way to victory. Therefore, we carefully study its vulnerabilities in order to use our forces as efficiently as possible. A successful strategy always lies in the ability to turn any situation to your advantage. For today, our main task is to exhaust the superior forces of the enemy and inflict heavy losses on him. This will create the necessary conditions that will contribute to the liberation of the Ukrainian land and will accelerate our victory. Glory to Ukraine!
