Players are actively complaining about crashes and compilation of shaders.
A remake of The Last of Us was released on PC – the game was released almost 7 months after the console release. The remake made a mixed impression on the players: The Last of Us has 50% positive reviews on Steam.
Players are actively complaining about a variety of technical problems. There are two main complaints: a very long compilation of shaders at the very beginning of the game and regular critical errors leading to crashes.
In addition, players complain about the optimization in general: the PC version of The Last of Us can slow down even on fairly powerful hardware.
I can’t even start the game, it crashes at the stage of compiling shaders
I can’t open the game for 50 minutes))) Nice start, but I was waiting, plus there is no full-screen mode. again…
And what actually with optimization? I have pretty normal hardware, but 30 fps on low settings is just pi *** ts. Compiling shaders is just eternal. Why write that a 4 GB video card is required for a minimum, when the video card does not pull 8 gigs even at low
I have to wait 2 hours to compile shaders until it reaches 100 (
Terrible optimization, it’s worse than cyberpunk
on 3070ti the game crashes non-stop, not even allowing shaders to load
On low settings, the game eats almost 6 out of 4 available gigs, and looks like Far Cry 3 at minimum settings. Capcom did, but Sonya and Noty Dog did not! Rezik was passed on almost average with a stream in discord without lags, and this game loads like a beast, are you even sane to release such a product into the world? I will not change my assessment until they bring in normal optimization, for all the time that I have played, 20 percent of shaders have been loaded – this is a complete failure and shame…
It is worth noting that The Last of Us remake has impressive system requirements: a GeForce RTX 4080-level video card is recommended for playing at 4K resolution. Even before the release, players were afraid that high requirements would mean problematic optimization.
The developers (it is assumed that the port was made by the Iron Galaxy studio) have not yet commented on the complaints of the players. Now about 35 thousand people are trying to play the Steam version of The Last of Us.
This is interesting
