The Ukrainian film “Pamfir”, which was released nationally on March 23, 2023, showed good box office results. During the first weekend, the drama directed by Dmitry Sukholitky-Sobchuk gathered almost 16 thousand viewers in cinemas, who spent UAH 2.6 million on tickets.
So, according to the results of the first weekend of rental, the film “Pamfir” was able to get ahead of the dramas “Mirny-21” by Akhtem Seitablaev and “Shchedryk” by Olesya Morgunets-Isaenko. For comparison, the box office of Mirny-21 for the first weekend amounted to UAH 1.9 million, while for Shchedryk this figure was just over UAH 1 million. The result of the film “Maxim Osa” is about 956 thousand UAH.
At the same time, Pamfir could not outrun the film The Price of Truth, which in the first days of its screening in Ukraine attracted more than 40,000 viewers and grossed almost UAH 4 million at the box office.
The action of the film “Pamfir” takes place in the west of Ukraine on the eve of the traditional Malanka carnival. The protagonist named Pamfir returns to the family after a long absence. When his son sets fire to a house of worship, Pamfir is forced to return to his criminal past to make amends.
