The famous gaming exhibition E3 has been held for more than a decade, and over the past 20 good years, the French giant Ubisoft has not missed a single such event. However, sooner or later everything comes to an end, and this tradition is no exception.
The publisher has announced that it has decided to withdraw from E3 2023 and instead host its own event. The representative of the company said that initially there were plans to visit the upcoming exhibition, but nevertheless they were revised, deciding to move in a different direction.
Own show is called Ubisoft Forward Live, it will be held in Los Angeles on June 12th. Nevertheless, according to authoritative insider Tom Henderson, the company would not have brought anything new there anyway – it was planned to show only what had already been presented in one way or another earlier.
As for E3 2023, this event kicks off a day later on June 13th and is scheduled to end on June 16th. Interestingly, it will take place in the same Los Angeles.
Note that Ubisoft is not the first big company to decide not to come to E3 this year. Previously, Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony did the same.
