Those responsible at Deck13 and Focus Entertainment announced the postponement of Atlas Fallen a few hours ago on March 29, 2023. The action role-playing game will no longer be released on May 16, 2023 for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series, but on 10. August 2023 (and thus a far cry from Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Diablo 4, Redfall and Final Fantasy 16).

The real reason for the postponement
OK, OK! It is certainly not due to our analysis that the date has now been postponed. On Twitter, developers and publishers explain that they want to use the extra time to develop the best possible version of Atlas Fallen (buy now €59.99).

The goal is to create a memorable ARPG experience, in a unique setting, with exciting gameplay, and with the option to play the entire experience in co-op.
In the summer of 2023 there will be more information about Atlas Fallen, with new gameplay material and the presentation of the co-op function. A second tweet also states that they are now able to offer a German dubbing for Atlas Fallen. So far, Atlas Fallen should appear with German subtitles and English voice output.

How crowded is August 2023 so far?
Finally, let’s take a look at the release list for the current year: How much competition does Atlas Fallen have around August 10th? Well, the action RPG certainly has nothing to fear from Pikmin 4 (July 21) and The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (August 18). The next really big chunks are not until August 31st (Baldur’s Gate) and September 6th (Starfield).
