The fifth installment in the Indiana Jones franchise, Wheel of Destiny, will premiere at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival from May 16-27. Information provided by Variety.
This is not the first time that archeology professor Harrison Ford has invaded the Croisette. In 2008, the film “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” was also presented at the film festival.
The director’s chair was entrusted to James Mangold, the creator of such films as “Logan” and “Ford v Ferrari”. This will be the first film in the Indiana Jones franchise not to be directed by Steven Spielberg. In addition, John Williams, who created the theme for Raiders of the Lost Ark in 1981, is responsible for the soundtrack for the new film.
The fifth Indiana Jones will feature the return of Harrison Ford and will be joined by stars such as Antonio Banderas, Mads Mikkelsen, Boyd Holbrook and Thomas Kretschmann.
Indiana Jones and the Wheel of Fate will hit theaters on June 30, 2023.
