Doubts about E3 2023 have become more and more obvious in recent weeks: Nintendo, Microsoft and Ubisoft will definitely not participate in the exhibition. According to rumors, Sony will also join them.
As IGN reporters found out, Japanese Sega and Chinese Level Infinite (a division of Tencent) refused to participate in E3 2023, and Devolver Digital, which never looked at E3, will again hold its sparkling and informative show in June.

IGN also contacted Electronic Arts, Square Enix, Embracer Group, Activision Blizzard, Epic Games, Take-Two Interactive, and Warner Bros. Games, but they haven’t responded yet, and Bandai Namco declined to comment.
Journalists add that more publishers are going to miss E3 2023 than have already been announced, but the announcement has not yet been made. As one of the reasons for the refusal of the exhibition, IGN calls the unpreparedness of companies for the costs associated with it.

Representatives of several PR services interviewed by IGN, who are usually aware of plans for such large exhibitions, expressed doubt that E3 2023 will take place, and one of the sources, even before the announcement of Ubisoft, even said: “There is no chance of the show being held.”
E3 2023 is scheduled to take place from June 13 to 16, but two months before the event, the fate of the exhibition is in doubt. Meanwhile, preparations for the Summer Game Fest digital festival going according to plan The opening is scheduled for June 8th.
