In this article, we have collected all the interesting information about the future of Xiaomi 13 Ultra that can be found at the moment. If you are also intrigued by this long-awaited smartphone – stay tuned and keep reading.
Note! Most of the photos show Xiaomi 12S Ultra, as there are no high-quality images of Xiaomi 13 Ultra yet.
Possible characteristics of Xiaomi 13 Ultra
We will immediately warn you that so far the technical parameters of Xiaomi 13 Ultra have not been officially confirmed. There are only probable characteristics shared by various insiders on their social networks. These whistleblowers can be trusted, as they have previously published reliable information about new products even before their official presentation.
So, according to rumors, Xiaomi 13 Ultra will become the owner of a large 6.73-inch screen. Yes, yes, the dimensions of smartphones continue to increase, and sooner or later they will begin to turn into compact tablets. Well, or we will wait for the mass launch of foldable phones – agree that such a prospect is more real than a smartphone and tablet 2 in 1.
The dimensions of Xiaomi 13 Ultra are not specified. It remains to be hoped that the smartphone will be more or less light and thin, because this is a top-end flagship. The matrix, of course, is AMOLED, plus with LTPO support. A Samsung E6 screen generation is expected, which is quite logical since Xiaomi 13 Pro also received the same latest display.
Other screen parameters of Xiaomi 13 Ultra are also quite expected – QHD+ (2.5K) resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The display will be curved on both sides: not everyone likes this technology, but such a chip in the design of the device literally screams about its premium.
Xiaomi 13 Ultra should be the owner of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, because a cooler chip has not yet been introduced. The amount of RAM will be up to 16 GB – this will be enough for another 5 years.
The fast UFS 4.0 persistent storage will be available in a base 256 GB version. The top modification should receive 512 GB.
Cameras are of great interest, because Xiaomi 13 Ultra is already called a super camera phone. But in this regard, there will most likely be a downgrade. We talked about the possible parameters of the Xiaomi 13 Ultra cameras in more detail in this news. We recommend that you familiarize yourself with it for the sake of completeness.
In short, Xiaomi 13 Pro is likely to be the owner of a 50-megapixel IMX858 sensor. Another smartphone will receive an ultra-wide-angle module and a telephoto lens. The front camera will be 32 MP. Cameras will again support Leica technologies.
Other features are not so interesting anymore: 90-watt wired and 50-watt wireless charging and Android 13 operating system with MIUI 14 firmware.

When will it be presented
The presentation date of Xiaomi 13 Ultra has not yet been officially announced. Again, there are only rumors and speculation. Recently, a poster appeared on the network, announcing that the presentation of the novelty will take place on April 17th. But it is impossible to say for sure whether this is a real poster or fake. Most likely – the second, since he was not seen on the official pages of the company.
Other insiders claim that the announcement will take place in May or June. At least in the spring or early summer, we will definitely see Xiaomi 13 Ultra. Another good news is that Xiaomi 13 Ultra should be presented for the global market. Recall that last year’s Xiaomi 12S Ultra phone did not get out of China.
What was remembered for the previous phone Xiaomi 12S Ultra
If we are talking about the predecessor of Xiaomi 13 Ultra, let’s remember its main characteristics. This smartphone boasted a 6.73-inch LTPO2 AMOLED screen, 1440×3200 pixels resolution, IP68 water resistance, Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, 50.3-megapixel drone-5-rear camera.
As you can see, there are not so many differences compared to the new expected version. The screens are likely to be the same, but the processor is fresher and more powerful. Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 got very hot, so it was simply impossible to play demanding games.
In the new generation of Gen 2, the situation has been improved: not that there was no heating and throttling at all, but all demanding toys go great at ultra-high settings. You can read more about the work of Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the reviews of Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro (links at the beginning of the article).
In terms of cameras, Xiaomi 12 Ultra did not make a single breakthrough. This model did not take first place in the DxOMark ranking. Moreover, it loses the previous model Mi 11 Ultra. Approximately the same situation is expected with Xiaomi 13 Ultra, if not worse. So it is useless to hope that the future novelty will become the best camera phone on the technological market.

Competitors Xiaomi 13 Ultra
The main competitors of Xiaomi 13 Ultra are, of course, smartphones from the super premium segment. If we talk about already released models, then these are Honor Magic 5 Pro, Samsung S23 Ultra, Huawei P60 Pro, Google Pixel 7 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro Max and the old Huawei Mate 50 Pro.
It is impossible to immediately say which of these smartphones is the best. This can only be clarified by a detailed comparison. But it is already known that the Honor Magic 5 Pro is considered the top camera phone in the world, followed by the Huawei Mate 50 Pro in the DxOMark rating. Google Pixel 7 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max feature stable software and extended manufacturer support. Whether Xiaomi 13 Ultra will be able to surpass these smartphones is a big question.
Another problem is the price of Xiaomi 13 Ultra. In Europe, the phone will cost over 1,000 euros. At the same time, it’s hard to call him a TOP for your money. Do not expect from Xiaomi 13 ultra cool options at an affordable price. It will be a standard, very expensive flagship.
Be sure to share your opinion about Xiaomi 13 Ultra in the comments. Are you looking forward to the release of this smartphone?
