As you know, E3 2023 was planned to be held from June 13 to 16 in Los Angeles, but in the end everything did not go as planned by the organizations: one after another, major publishers announced their refusal to participate in the event.
Ultimately, the largest exhibition in the gaming industry simply failed to recruit at least the minimum required number of serious gaming companies that would agree to come.
In 2023, this was supposed to be the first E3 that was planned to be held offline, having previously had to be held online due to the pandemic and other problems.
Apparently, the decision of the organizers was influenced by the statements of such publishers as Microsoft, Sega, Sony, Ubisoft, Tencent and Devolver Digital that they prefer to hold their own exhibitions and definitely will not go to E3.
At the same time, Summer Game Fest kicks off on June 8 – another gaming exhibition, which will be much more modest in scale than E3, but it has not been canceled.
