ARK: Survival Ascended (ASA) is a next-generation remaster and will soon be bundled with ARK 2.
ARK: Survival Ascended (ASA) ist ein Next-Generation-Remaster of the popular ARK: Survival Evolved, which harnesses the power of Unreal Engine 5 (UE5). It will be released in August 2023 for Xbox Series S/X, PC (Windows/Steam) and PlayStation 5.
The base game will include the island, a remastered Survival of the Fittest, and all non-canon DLC maps (which will be added over time).
Xbox Series S/X and PC players will have the option to purchase the ARK Respawned bundle. This bundle includes ARK: Survival Ascended and ARK 2 for $49.99. This bundle will be available from the end of August for up to 1 year (after that, ARK: Survival Ascended and ARK 2 will be sold separately). Additionally, the bundle gives players access to an exclusive one-month closed beta of ARK 2 before the rest of the public finds out.
At launch of ARK: Survival Ascended, players will have access to The Island, Scorched Earth, and the new, revamped game mode, Survival of the Fittest.
RK: Survival Ascended will also include the following improvements and enhancements:
Overhaul of Unreal Engine 5 with Nanite, Lumen and RTXDI Dynamic water and interactive foliage Cross-platform multiplayer This includes cross-platform accounts and cross-progression, cross-voice chat & friends, etc. Regardless of which platform ASA is launched on, access to any account, character, dinos and items on any other platform. Cross-Platform Modding Studio Wildcard has chosen to partner with Overwolf, the leader in modding platforms, to introduce the industry’s first cross-platform modding experience, where mods created on PC are directly accessible through a custom modding backend pushed to end-user consoles. Premium Modding Market: Mod creators will optionally be able to set price points for their mods (with 50% of the price point going to the mod author). All mods are reviewed for quality and value by Overwolf and Studio Wildcard. The remainder will be used for the infrastructure Overwolf needs to support, manage and deliver the mods to the console. Survival of the Fittest SOTF will be integrated into ASA as a new fully supported game mode. There will be a dedicated development team that will continue to work on gameplay changes, mechanical improvements, quality of life, maps, and balance adjustments. The mode is being overhauled with an exclusive ARK: Survival Ascended update that includes: Upgrade to UE5 with full cross-platform and cross-modding support Scorched Earth SOTF map Matchmaking queue Character and creature customization with cosmetics Many Bug fixes and balance and functionality improvements Improved graphics throughout the game. Redesigned holiday events released as mods so they’re always playable! New content, QoL improvements, balance and gameplay changes.
Additionally, there is a new expansion pack for ARK: Survival Ascended that will be available in Q4 2023. This DLC will include four new creatures, more details will be announced later in the year.
