The new update will host the Academy’s first ever grand celebration, introduce Bai Zhu and Kaveh, and add a new area with a wasteland and an oasis.
The Academy Festival, hosted by Sumeru Academy, will give visitors the chance to learn more about Teyvat’s most prestigious educational institution and the wisdom that the six darshans seek to attain.
As part of the grandiose celebration, players will have two main parts – the Festival of Wisdom and the Darshan Tournament. At the Feast of Wisdom, stands will be set up and six mini-games will be played, one from each darshan, to showcase the direction and achievements of their research. In addition to the festivities, representatives of the six darshans will also compete for the title of champion in the Darshan Tournament with a new storyline.
Version 3.6 of Genshin Impact will be released on April 12 on PlayStation, PC and mobile devices.
