Matt Shekman is still directing.
Marvel’s Fantastic Four has a new writer, according to The Hollywood Reporter. Josh Friedman, creator of Snowpiercer and screenwriter of Avatar: The Waterway, is now in charge of the film.
The Fantastic Four was previously written by rookie comedy writers Jeff Kaplan and Ian Springer. Perhaps, THR believes, the tone of the film will change with the arrival of Friedman.
The rest of the Fantastic Four creative team remained unchanged. The film is still being directed by Matt Shakman, who directed the WandaVision series for Marvel and Disney.
The Fantastic Four is set to premiere on February 14, 2025. The film does not yet have a confirmed cast.
