When choosing a kitchen scale, various criteria are decisive.
Depending on the kitchen, the dimensions of the scales are important. In a small city apartment, a compact device should be used that quickly disappears in a drawer, while a magnificent device can find its permanent place in a spacious country kitchen. The advantage of a large scale: the measuring bowl does not normally cover the display, which means that the weight can be read more easily. Plus, larger scales can often handle more weight, so they’re better suited when measuring ingredients for a large family.
Speaking of the display: Especially when the sun is shining on the kitchen scales in the kitchen, some displays are difficult to read. Others, on the other hand, have fewer problems with direct light.
In order not to have to constantly calculate when weighing, it is also advisable to choose a scale that can be adjusted at any time, i.e. has a tare function. Depending on how often the scale is used, the choice of battery can also be crucial. A button battery does not last as long as a block battery.
The last, but no less important, purchase criterion for the kitchen scale is the workmanship. At the latest when the device gives up the ghost just because a little milk has run into the housing, you will realize that you have saved at the wrong end.
