As part of a promotional video for the Metaphuni Metamech gaming notebook, the first benchmarks for the mobile, dedicated RDNA 3 graphics card AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT are now coming, which are clearly in the 3DMark Fire Strike in Full HD under DirectX 11 against a current Nvidia Geforce RTX 4060 from the new generation “Ada Lovelace” can prevail. Because Nvidia’s mobile graphics card prevails under DX12, a close duel is in the offing.

3DMark benchmarks without a clear winner
The first benchmarks from the current 3DMark don’t see a clear winner yet. While the AMD Radeon RX 7600M XT is clearly in the lead in the Fire Strike under DX11, the Nvidia Geforce RTX 4060 narrowly wins the duel in the Time Spy under DX12. However, the two dedicated graphics cards are nowhere near as good as the two higher-positioned models, Nvidia Geforce RTX 4070 and AMD Radeon RX 6800M, from the previous generation.

The new mobile RDNA 3 graphics card, on the other hand, clearly stands out from the competition when using DirectX 11 in 3DMark Fire Strike.

Radeon RX 7600M XT is said to beat the Geforce RX 3060
AMD itself promises higher performance for the Radeon RX 7600M XT in Full HD with maximum settings than the Nvidia Geforce RTX 3060 has to offer in the desktop. Of course, these results still need to be confirmed by independent tests. The manufacturers are not known for their “cherry picking” for nothing.

The mobile RDNA 3 GPUs are still in short supply
With the exception of two notebooks with the AMD Radeon RX 7700S trimmed for economy and efficiency, the PCGH price comparison does not list any models with the mobile RDNA 3 graphics cards. As with the previous generation, market penetration remains one of the biggest issues for the manufacturer’s efforts to have a say in this sector.
