Despite the fact that the official presentation of the GeForce RTX 4070 video card will take place only in a week and a half, more and more information about the new product appears on the Web. In particular, Nvidia’s slide was published today, which shows the main characteristics of the device. Along with this, it confirmed the recommended price – $ 599.
The basis of the GeForce RTX 4070 graphics card, as expected, will be a stripped-down Nvidia AD104 GPU. The specifications slide does not indicate the number of CUDA cores (according to available data, 5888 pieces), but information is provided on the amount of L2 cache. It will be 36 MB versus 48 MB for the GeForce RTX 4070 Ti. This is many times more than the solutions of the previous generation.
The 12 GB video buffer is equipped with GDDR6X chips with an effective frequency of 21 GHz, which, taking into account the 192-bit bus, provides a throughput of 504 GB / s. The stock TGP is 200W, while Nvidia estimates that the GeForce RTX 4070 will consume 186W on average in games. The official presentation of the video card will take place on April 12.
