Samsung has been in the habit, in recent years, of renewing its line of smart watches during the August event. This year should be no different, but the first rumors about future models are already starting to appear.
We are talking specifically about the future Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. According to leaker Ice Universe, it is “100% confirmed” that the next base model in the smartwatch line will be bigger. And the source goes into detail.
As you can read in the tweet below, Ice Universe claims that the wearable has increased the screen and display size to 1.47 inches. In addition, the resolution and aspect ratio of the screen will also be improved in this new model.
100% confirmed, Exclusive: The Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 has increased the screen size of the dial to 1.47 inches, and the resolution has also been correspondingly improved, which means that the screen proportion has finally been improved.

Galaxy Watch 6 Classic may have a 10% larger screen than its predecessor
It is recalled that the Galaxy Watch 5 hit the market with a 1.4-inch screen. We will thus have an increase of 0.07 inches in the future model, which is equivalent to 10% more screen. In order to maintain the density of 321 pixels per inch, the resolution must thus jump to 470 by 470 pixels.
As mentioned by GSMArena, the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic could arrive with a 425 mAh battery. This means that, if it is the 46 mm version, it will be an increase compared to the 361 mAh Galaxy Watch4 Classic. But a decrease compared to the 46 mm Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, which has a 590 mAh battery.
For now we should look at these data as just a rumor, since there is no official support. But with August fast approaching, the coming weeks should bring more news about Samsung’s future wearables.
