April 8th, 2023 at 7:00 a.m. by Sara Petzold – After extensive nerfs for the Retribution Paladin, Blizzard is again pushing a talent revision with a hotfix for Easter. There are also bug fixes for druids and monks.
Retribution paladins have had to be very strong in the past few days because the developers at Blizzard have swung the nerf club powerfully. But now they’re hotfixing another Holy Warrior talent that they say doesn’t work as intended in some situations: Death Sentence. The mini-patch also includes two bug fixes for Monks and Druids that caused issues with Bear Form and Touch of Death. DruidFixed a bug that forced players to switch out of bear form and back into bear form when attempting to use the thrash ability after entering certain instances.monkFixed a bug where Death’s Touch could be cast on targets with a higher health cap than intended.PaladinRetributionThe way Death Sentence works has been changed because it wasn’t working as expected in certain situations. Death Sentence’s perk damage no longer has damage modifiers applied to it. To offset this change, 30 percent (from 20 percent) of the damage you deal during Death Sentence is accumulated and dealt as damage when Death Sentence triggers.
