Dynamo President Igor Surkis spoke about the departure of Viktor Tsygankov to Girona for 5 million euros. The club is counting on a profitable resale of the midfielder to another team.
“I understood that he wanted to leave for a long time. I think that if it were not for the war, it would have been a more civilized transfer. But he and his agents, his father agreed with Girona. He left, but we didn’t lose anything financially. If Tsygankov plays well, he will be sold to a top club, and we have 50% of the resale. I think in Girona he is constantly in sight, everyone appreciates his game. It may even be a bigger transfer than we would have sold him from Dynamo.
“I want to emphasize that before this winter we did not have a single concrete proposal for Tsygankov. My conscience is clear. In terms of money, I think we got less than we wanted, but we will wait. I will root for him so that he reaches another level and is sold. And if not, then this is his fate and the price for which we sold,” said Surkis.
Tsygankov scored three goals and made three assists in 8 La Liga matches.
